VEJER DE LA FRONTERA – Just now, the Czech Republic rider Emma Augier de Moussac put down a remarkable achievement by becoming second in the 7-year-old finals on 1.45m level with her horse Brighton Bay (Ultimo x Kreator).

The combination has competed in the 7-year-old classes during the last 5 weeks at the Sunshine Tour in the Spanish Vejer de la Frontera. They were able to place themselves for the thrilling finals that were on today’s program. It is an important class because the future top horses distinguish themselves from the rest in this age.

Emma is riding the Ultimo-son since she bought him at the Dutch Sport Horse Sales in 2014. The gelding was then named Fulltime Fortuna. Her analysis on her ride today: “Brighton Bay is such a clever horse. That was definitely an advantage in the difficult combinations that the course designer came up with today. But what is tricky for some, is easy for him.” The duo has had a very strong show in Spain; 11 out of the 12 round were clear. What is her planning with Brighton Bay? “He can enjoy his rest now. He did so well. Our focus is now on Lanaken.”
