Outstanding victories for Naomi and Glamour Girl

19 September 2021

With only a few days prior to the 17th edition of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales, Naomi van het Keizershof and Glamour Girl made fantastic advertisement for the auction in which they were sold in the past. Under Lorenzo de Luca, Naomi won the prestigious Youngster Tour final in Aachen, while Glamour Girl showed once again unbeatable in Rome.

On Saturday, the Sparkassen Youngster Cup final for seven- and eight-year-olds was one of the main classes at CHIO Aachen. In this 1.45m class Lorenzo de Luca achieved the very best result with the Cardento daughter Naomi van het Keizershof. This mare bred by Leon Otten was until recently ridden by Jessica Springsteen and now took part in an international competition for the second time in 2021 with her partner Lorenzo. Naomi van het Keizershof turned out to be the absolute prize topper in the Dutch Sport Horse Sales in 2019. “I am really impressed by the quality of this mare”, responded the Italian, who had to compete against no less than 18 combinations in the jump-off.

With a jump-off which is described as one of the fastest of the season, Henrik von Eckermann took the victory for the second week in a row at CSI5* Rome aboard the in 2016 sold mare Glamour Girl. This competitive daughter of Zirocco Blue VDL went lightning fast in this 1.50m course. “My jump-off might have been a little bit over the top. But when you get Glamour Girl going, it’s difficult to get her back. She jumps better forward and I didn’t want to disturb her too much. This victory is extra special because her owner Robin Parsky is here to see it. I am really happy”, said the rider.
