DSHS Youngster of the Year: Padisha

Last year, the Qatar ter Saleghem daughter Padisha was one of the standout horses at the Dutch Sport Horse Sales, and this year she is being brought into the spotlight as DSHS Youngster of the Year. Under Jeffrey Fields, she already won multiple young horse classes this spring in Thermal, Woodside, and Thunderbird. This six-year-old top talent has thus gotten off to an excellent start in her sporting career.

At the age of five, Padisha already showed she was capable of great things, and with her potential, this quality mare fit right in with the collection at the Dutch Sport Horse Sales. She comes from the direct damline of, among others, Olympic horse Romeo 88, ridden by Harry Charles, and time and again shows that she does justice to her strong pedigree.

Very promising
In the young horse classes in Thermal, Woodside, and Thunderbird Show Park, Padisha repeatedly proved unbeatable under Jeffrey Fields. With great ease and athletic ability, she has already produced plenty of clear rounds, a quality that will continue to serve her well. At the Dutch Sport Horse Sales in 2025, Padisha was purchased by Samantha Davis, making Jeffrey Fields her new rider. Based on the promising results of the past year, it has proven to be an extremely successful combination, and we expect to hear much more from them in the future. At the award ceremony during the 22nd edition of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales, an award crafted by Limburg artist Jos Dirix was presented to Vani Khosla, who accepted it on behalf of the owner.
