Isabelle Lapierre wins Canada National Talent Squad Championships

9 November 2015

Isabelle Lapierre, with her talented mare Cescha M (Diamant de Semilly x Calando IV), became the champion of the Jump Canada National Talent Squad Championships after an exciting last phase. The competition that wrapped up the championships was held on November 7th, during the Royal Horse Show in Toronto.

At the end of the competition there was an exciting battle between Lapierre and Susan Horn. Lapierre took over the lead in phase 1. The following afternoon during phase 2, Lapierre was the last to enter the ring, with Susan Horn the only clear on the board. There was a lot of pressure on Lapierre, but she performed well and was faultless. During the shortened jump-off, Horn had four points with her 9-year-old KWPN-Balintore (Vincenzo x Lux), but Lapierre stayed clear with Cescha M. Her victory was sealed!

Lapierre has applauded her Dutch Sport Horse Sales horse Cescha M; “She’s a real winner in the ring, she will try everything to win. Therefore, it is always nice to enter the ring and know that you really have a chance to win. If I make a mistake I can always count on her and vice versa. We’re a good team.”
