Hello Senator wins Grand Prix St. Tropez

20 October 2019

Scott Brash is achieving great results with the ten-year-old Carambole son Hello Senator, who was auctioned at the Dutch Sport Horse Sales in 2013. Today the pair could add a wonderful achievement to their record by winning the Grand Prix of CSI4* Saint Tropez. Other DSHS references also made good advertisement.

In Saint Tropez, Scott Brash and Hello Senator have already won two 1.45m classes in the past two weeks and today they also proved unbeatable in the 1.55m Grand Prix of the CSI4* Tour. Seven out of ten jump-off combinations jumped another clear round and the British top rider claimed his second victory this week with Hello Senator. Therefore the gelding bred by the Henstra family won his first 4*-Grand Prix. Six years ago he was sold in the DSHS auction under the name Everest.

Multiple successes
DSHS references were also successful in other Grand Prix. In the two-star Grand Prix of Oslo, Pal Flam finished double clear on the fourth place with the Applaus mare Elisabeth, while the Carambole son Flambeau finished fifth in the 1.50m Grand Prix of CSI3* Vilamoura under Harry Marshall last week. A victory in the six-year-old-class on Saturday at CSI-YH Lier, no one could beat the fast ride of Jack O’Donohue  with the Starpower mare Iris. This mare owned by Manton Grange Stables was chosen as DSHS Youngster of the Year in 2018 and continues her good performances. Also with the Douglas son Ici (8th in the six-year-old class) and the Bustique son Harvard HX (7th in the seven-year-olds class) the team of Manton Grange achieved good results this week.
