International victories for DSHS references

18 October 2019

The week has started well for references of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales. In the main classes of the international shows in Saint Tropez and Zwolle, two horses that were sold in this auction, claimed the victory on Thursday. Richard Howley and Glamour Girl showed unbeatable in the 1.50m class at CSI3* Zwolle, and Scott Brash won an 1.45m class at CSI4* Saint Tropez with Hello Senator for the second week in a row.

In the 1.45m Longines Ranking class of CSI4* Saint Tropez Scott Brash was more than a second faster than his closest competition. With the Carambole son Hello Senator, which was sold in Dutch Sport Horse Sales in 2013, the successful rider turned out to be a class of its own. The breeding product of the Henstra family has been owned by Lady P. Harris and Lady P. Kirkham for a few years and also won an 1.45m class during the first week of the CSI4* Saint Tropez.

Promising pair
The Zirocco Blue VDL mare Glamour Girl, who was auctioned in the DSHS auction in 2016, performed well on her birth ground. The mare was bred by Mieke Zoetelief and has been a combination for two months with the Irish rider Richard Howley. They have already achieved several good results. In one of their first 1.50m classes, they took the win in the Grand Prix qualification of CSI3* Zwolle. “I have Glamour Girl in training for a short time and we have already won a two-star Grand Prix. She performs very consistently, is comfortable to ride and is very competitive”, reacted the winning rider.
