I.Wellie R58 and Jean Couture stand out in the Dutch championships

15 August 2019

Several horses that are part of the collection of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales this year have made an impression in the championships for young KWPN horses in Ermelo. For example, the Dexter R son I.Wellie R58 jumped to the second place in the Blom Cup for six-year-olds, and Jean Couture (s.Arezzo VDL) saw his excellent performances rewarded with a third place in the championship for five-year-olds.

The collection of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales was announced earlier this week and the Stal Hendrix competition winner Jean Couture (Arezzo VDL x Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve) is one of the eye-catchers. The stallion proved that again today under the saddle of Sophie Hinners. With a stunning technique, a lot of dedication and outstanding jumping technique, he reached the third place in the Dutch championship for the Blom Cup. Also the Dexter R son I.Wellie R58 (ds.Mermus R), who was the vice champion of the stallion show in Den Bosch three years ago, has already shown several times to be a very good show jumper. With a second place in the championship under Rob Heijligers, the cautious chestnut gelding once again demonstrated his quality and ability. In addition, the striking Katokyboy HDH (Arezzo VDL x Cream On Top), winner of the Stal Hendrix competition earlier this season, managed to reach the final of the four-year-old under the same rider. Besides them, the Entertainer son Jermaine HX (ds.Cantos) was selected for the final of the five-year-olds. With a clear round under Oda Charlotte Lyngvaer he jumped to the 15th position in this championship.
