Glamour Girl as best seven-year-old to WC final

14 September 2018

At Zangersheide it’s all about the World Championships for young showjumpers this week. The best horses of both qualifiers are placed for the finals, which are held on Sunday. In the championship for seven-year-olds, the DSHS ambassador Glamour Girl is with her rider Charlotte Bettendorf the best placed horse.

In the first qualifier on Thursday, Charlotte Bettendorf and Gaesbeker’s Glamour Girl (by Zirocco Blue VDL) jumped a very fast clear round in the 1.40m two phases class. They were able to position themselves as ninth of the more than 200 participants. The successful pair also performed well on the second day. Their fast clear round in this 1.40m speed class was rewarded with the ninth prize again. With two times a top-10 result in this World championship, Glamour Girl goes as the best placed horse to the final on Sunday.

Two years ago, the mare bred by Stoeterij Gaesbeek from Ruinen (NL) was sold at the Dutch Sport Horse Sales to her current owner Francois Mathy. Since March this year Glamour Girl is internationally competed by the Luxembourg rider Charlotte Bettendorf. Best of luck in the final!
