Although he was not ‘Born in the USA’, Dutsboy moved there due to intervention of Laura Kraut and Nick Skelton. It was announced today that the talented dark bay gelding is bought by the American rider Jessica Springsteen, daughter of the rock legend Bruce Springsteen.

Dutsboy’s (Veron x Lux) course of life, born in 2008, is getting better and better. He was crowned ‘Horse of the Year’ during the Dutch Sport Horse Sales last year and moved to America at the end of 2014 to continue his sports career.

Dutsboy was sold at the Dutch Sport Horse Sales in 2012 in the Dutch city of Weert. He went to Stal Mulkhoeve in Hamont-Achel (Belgium). After a successful two-year competing with rider Joy Lammers, Dutsboy moved to the stables of Kraut and Skelton. After a few successful competitions in the arena of the Winter Equestrian Festival there was a lot of interest in the horse. At the end, the Springsteen family was able to acquire him.

Joy Lammers about Dutsboy: “I have ridden him for exactly two years. I already expected that he would be sold one day. It is an incredible good horse. He is always willing to work and is careful at the jump.” The combination competed at 1.30m-level and almost always managed to stay clear. Lammers continues: “With Dutsboy, I always had a good chance to win. We achieved high placings at the youngster classes of the finals at CSI1* Eindhoven (NED) and CSI3* Samorin (SVK), amongst others.”
