Cescha M wins World Cup Bromont

7 August 2017

Isabella Lapierre has made a perfect start of the World Cup 2017/2018 season. She won the first qualifier in Bromont aboard the DSHS ambassador Cescha M (s.Diamant de Semilly).

In front of a hometown crowd, the Canadian rider Isabelle Lapierre achieved her first World Cup victory, while her mare Cescha M made her World Cup debut at CSI3*-W Bromont. The 10yo mare was sold six years ago, as a very promising future talent, in the Dutch Sport Horse Sales. She has developed into a very valuable Grand Prix showjumper.

Ready for next step
“She had a very good year and she’s always trying to win”, Lapierre said. “We built Cescha M up, and she’s just improving every year. This show in Bromont was amazing. Every time I jump here, I feel the crowd is jumping with me. I think that’s why I went faster than the others. The crowd was pushing us! The whole year, we planned the shows where we wanted to be ready for here to see what she would do. Now, we have to think differently. Because we know Cescha M can do that next step. Now, the plan will be built around doing the next step.”
