Casanova awarded by National Show Hunter Hall of Fame

16 June 2015

Last April, The National Show Hunter Hall of Fame announced that Casanova (Carolus II x Glennridge) won the awards for First Year Green and Overall Hunter Horse of the Year. The price was given during the Devon Horse Show at the Annual National Show Hunter Hall of Fame Award Bouquet. Kathy Gilbertson, director of the National Show Hunter Hall of Fame about the elections: “This honour was given to him by a vote of top hunter trainers in the US.”

The beautifully modelled chestnut gelding was sold at the Dutch Sport Horse Sales in 2012. He stood out because of his superb way of jumping. Besides that, he was always very easy to ride. Casanova went to America after the auction where Hunt Tosh started to compete with him. They where successful from the start. The two won the USHJA Pre-Green Incentive Championships, which is organized by the United States Hunter Jumper Association. Many good results followed and all this results in this great award.
