Balade de Normandie and Gitania in top-3 YH Knokke
12 July 2017
During the first week of Knokke Hippique, Julie Welles has jumped impressive clear rounds with several DSHS horses. She won the Youngster Tour on Friday aboard 6yo Balade de Normandie, the Diamant de Semilly mare with which she secured a victory at De Peelbergen last month.
The outstanding Diamant de Semilly mare Balade de Normandie and Julie Welles claimed the fastest result in the Youngster Tour two phases course on Friday. More than 40 competitors took a shot but no one could beat the result of this pair. Also with another DSHS horse, Julie Welles did a good job in this 6-year-olds class (1.25m). The American rider ended up third riding the impressive Cantos mare Gitania, who was one of the top horses of last year’s Dutch Sport Horse Sales as well.
Three DSHS horses
Julie took another old acquaintance to Knokke Hippique. She won the seventh prize in the 1.45m speed class on Thursday riding a clear round with the Verdi offspring Viper Vromboutshoeve. This quality show jumper was sold in our auction in 2013.
