1.50m win for Chica B Z in fourth week WEF

3 February 2019

DSHS ambassador Chica B Z has again been able to add another top result to her record. With rider Martin Fuchs she took the victory in the 1.50m Classic of the CSI4* during the fourth week of the Winter Equestrian Festival. Last year, this Dutch bred Canturano mare was elected as DSHS Horse of the Year.

In 2015, Chica B Z was purchased by her current owner Adolfo Juri at the Dutch Sport Horse Sales, who brought the mare bred by the Berben family to top rider Martin Fuchs. Together with the now ten-year-old Canturano mare he was one of six competitors in the jump-off of the 1.50m classic in Wellington. “Winning a four-star class is a great way to start! Chica B Z didn’t do much as a young horse and was fairly green when I got her. She actually still is for a 10 years old. But she’s a very good jumper and there are a lot of big classis we can jump here, so for a horse that does not have that much experience, it’s a great place to show them how it’s done. At least we’ve started off very well!”, said the rider.
