The Grand Prix stallion Quasimodo Z has produced a remarkable number of offspring that compete in the international sport. At the highest level, he is represented by deserving show jumpers such as Idi Utopia, Armstrong van de Kapel, Dimodo, Charleville, Quidam B Z and Qulander Z. Nothing stands in the way of six-year-old Icarus CJS also competing in the elite sport in the future. He is endowed with very abundant scope and an outstanding competition attitude. This future talent also inherited good jumping genes from his dam’s side, as his dam Elektra CJS is a half-sister to the international Grand Prix show jumper Uraquay 2 (s.Chellano Z), ridden by Karina Johannpeter. Like the 1.55m horse Armagedon (s.Solitair) and the 1.45m-classified Dancing Boy (s.Van Gogh), Icarus CJS’s dam-line traces back to the Almé daughter Tulana. Among the trendsetters from this branch of Holsteiner-line 242 is Maikel van der Vleuten’s Grand Prix winner Dana Blue (s.Mr.Blue). Icarus CJS’s dam’s sire Campbell VDL competed at the highest level with Candice King.
