This spring, Mr. Cornike was a true revelation during the Sunshine Tour. He draws attention time and time again and seems to develop into a horse of exceptional quality. He has been patiently produced and does everything with unprecedented ease. Mr. Cornike is reminiscent of his father Cornet Obolensky, who can be counted among the world’s best progenitors. His offspring such as Cornet d’Amour, Clooney, Comme Il Faut, and Balou du Reventon belong to the best show jumpers in the world. His maternal line is also well known and in the third generation Mr. Cornike goes
back to the international show jumping mare Audi’s Reflection, who was successful at the highest level with Vincent Voorn. Grandmother Valarnike is a half-sister of the international 1.50/1.60m horse Widny (s.Sydney) ridden by Michael Duffy and also produced the 1.50m horse Clear Heart (s.Clarimo) ridden by Thibeau Spits. Other 1.50/1.60m horses from this Dutch performance
family include Brianne Goutal’s Wirma (s.Hors la Loi II), Valent (s.Hors la Loi II) ridden by Dermott Lennon, and two-time World Champion Young Jumpers Barnike (s.Baldwind B ) from Bertram Allen.
