Where exceptional talent meets proven performance genes
Eagle Eye Cherry van de Wiel Z has already produced a series of eye-catching performances and is undoubtedly a top-quality horse for the future. This talented seven-year-old gelding inherits his ability from both his Olympic sire Emerald van ’t Ruytershof and his international 1.45m-performing dam C-Gigi van de Wiel Z.
His dam combines the proven performance genes of the Olympic stallions Canturo and Fuego du Prelet, who have both distinguished themselves in sport and breeding. Granddam Weenix van de Wiel is a half-sister to the international 1.60m jumper Lismacbryan Junior (by Narcos II), who competed in Grand Prix and Nations Cup competitions with Peter Bulthuis. This by origin Hanoverian line has also produced international 1.50/1.60m jumpers such as Oramé, Vendredi, Fairplay, Warland VDL and Olympic horse VDL Edgar M.
Sire Emerald van ’t Ruytershof was a cornerstone of the Dutch team with Harrie Smolders and continues to shape modern breeding through offspring including Igor, Imerald van ’t Voorhof, Mandato van de Neerheide and Nikka van de Bisschop.
