Good results for Farianne and Fascinating Fortuna

11 March 2019

One of the horses with which Richard Howley appears in the Sunshine Tour arenas is the Indoctro mare Farianne, sold at the Dutch Sport Horse Sales. The pair jumped last week to the second prize in the 1.40m class. Closer to home Patrick Lemmen claimed the victory in the 1.30m final of CH Midden-Limburg with the DSHS ambassador Fascinating Fortuna.

In 2015 the Indoctro mare Farianne was auctioned at the Dutch Sport Horse Sales. She started her international career under Sarah Borthwich in 2017 and since April last year Richard Howley is her rider. Two months later they already jumped their first 2* Grand Prix and last October they won 1.40/1.45m class at CSI3* Zwolle. In February this year they settled in the Spanish Vejer de la Frontera to gain a lot of experience in the Sunshine Tour. That resulted in a victory in the 1.40m class during the first week and at the end of February they added a second place in the 1.45m class. This week they turned out to be runner-up in the 1.40m speed class.

Winner of the final
The Zapatero VDL son Fascinating Fortuna was also part of the DSHS collection in 2015. He had several successes with Efe Siyahi and Patrick Lemmen in the international Youngster Tour and performed this weekend at the national show CH Midden-Limburg at Equestrian Centre De Peelbergen. Under Patrick Lemmen the nine-year breeding product of Peter and Anne Mieke Rinkes won the 1.30m final.
