Lord Z-son Escoffier victorious in Gothenburg’s 1.50m

25 February 2018

At the CSI5* in Gothenburg, Werner Muff seized the victory in the 1.50m class with the DSHS ambassador Escoffier. In 2014 this Lord Z-son was part of the collection of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales and he has already jumped many times into the spotlight. The victory in Gothenburg turned out to be a wonderful birthday present for his owner Werner Würgler.

Escoffier was bred by Peter and Renate Stultiëns from Weert nine years ago. The son of Lord Z is bred out of Wunderfull Vera, who is a full sister of the famous Grand Prix stallion Van Gogh (by Numero Uno) with which Marco Kutscher won prestigous Grand Prix. At the DSHS auction in 2014 Escoffier was purchased by Werner and Annette Würgler, who send him directly to Werner Muff. The victory in the 1.45/1.50m-class on Saturday-evening happened under the supervision of the proud owners. “I thought it would be great to give Werner Würgler an appropriate birthday present in the form of an Escoffier victory. That was my goal today and I’m glad that it worked out!”, said the Swiss top rider.
